Everything you need to know about TechTraverse, how to submit tools, and what makes our directory different.
General Questions
What is TechTraverse?
TechTraverse is a curated directory of AI/ML tools, libraries, and open-source projects. Unlike other directories that list everything, we focus on quality tools with honest takes from a founder who actually uses them.
What criteria do you use to select tools?
We evaluate tools based on: 1) Quality and maintenance - is it actively maintained and well-documented? 2) Utility - does it solve a real problem? 3) Open source preference - we prioritize tools you can inspect and self-host. 4) Founder's experience - I only recommend tools I've personally used.
Is TechTraverse free to use?
Yes, TechTraverse is completely free to use. We don't charge for browsing the directory or accessing tool information. Some tools listed may have their own pricing models, but the directory itself is free.
How often is the directory updated?
We update the directory regularly as we discover new tools and as existing tools evolve. New tools are added weekly, and we review existing listings monthly to ensure information is current.
Submitting Tools
How do I submit a tool to TechTraverse?
Click the 'Submit Tool' button in the header navigation. Fill out the form with your tool's details including name, description, category, pricing, and website URL. We review all submissions and only add tools that meet our quality standards.
Can I request a tool to be added?
Absolutely! Use the 'Submit Tool' form to suggest tools you'd like to see in the directory. We welcome suggestions from the community and will review each submission carefully.
About Tools
What does 'Founder's Verdict' mean?
The Founder's Verdict is my personal, honest take on why a tool matters and when you should use it. It's based on my actual experience using the tool in real projects, not marketing copy.
What do the pricing labels mean?
We use clear pricing labels: 'Open Source' for free, self-hostable tools; 'Freemium' for tools with free tiers; 'Paid' for subscription-based tools; and 'Free' for completely free tools. Each tool page has detailed pricing information.
